What is the Chamber of Commerce?

The Fannin County Chamber of Commerce is a community and business organization which advocates for its 750 diverse member businesses. The Chamber promotes and enhances the talents and resources of its members to create a climate of growth and success in the community.

The chamber improves the economic vitality and quality of life for its members and the community through leadership opportunities, volunteer efforts and programs focused on business, civic and social priorities.

There are three primary functions of a chamber of commerce: (1) it acts as spokesperson for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members, and (2) it renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization both to its members, and to the community as a whole, and (3) to promote tourism in Fannin County.

What is Our Mission?

The Chamber’s Mission is to provide services to members, support existing business, promote positive economic development and tourism, while preserving our community’s natural resources and enhancing our citizen’s quality of life.

The Fannin County Chamber of Commerce is also a full-time Georgia Regional Visitor Information Center, supported in part by the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Fannin County Hotel-Motel tax revenues. The Center is open and staffed seven days a week.
