The entire trail takes about three days to complete. Toccoa Ranger District Driving Tour

The U.S. Forest Service has produced a daytrip driving tour through the Chattahoochee National forest and surrounding countryside beginning in Morganton, traveling GA Highway 60 through Suches to Dahlonega. From Dahlonega the route takes Highway 52 west to Amicalola Falls State Park and Ellijay. Sights include expansive views of beautiful rural valleys all year and stunning displays of colorful foliage in the fall. Attractions along the way include access to the Appalachian and Benton MacKaye Trails, the Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery, Deep Hole Recreation Area, Cooper Creek, Woody Gap, Amicalalola Falls and Ellijay's Apple Alley.

Fannin County Self-Guided Driving Tours
Self-guided driving tours through Fannin County and the Copper Basin are available at the Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center in Blue Ridge. The tours vary from 1.5 hours to 5 hours and include drives through the mountains and countryside, the deep forest and the wilderness.
