Blue Ridge Adventure Race 2024
Get ready to push your limits and navigate the rugged terrain of the Blue Ridge Mountains in America's longest-running adventure race.
Event Details
When & Where
On May 4th, 2024 at the Downtown Pavilion, located at 900 E. Main St. in Downtown Blue Ridge, the adventure begins with check-in opening at 5:00 am. Participants will receive instructions and a pre-plotted map, followed by a pre-race meeting at 7:00 am. The race kicks off promptly at 8:00 am and spans a duration of 12 hours.
Race Day Schedule
All teammates must be present to check-in and receive instructions.
- 5:00 am – Check-in
- 7:00 am – Pre-race meeting
- 7:30 am – Board buses
- 8:00 am – Race begins
- 8:00 pm – Race ends with dinner and awards.
Registration
Whether you are racing solo or in a team of up to 4 people, each racer will need to register.
- Regular Registration (Ends 3/15/2024) – $225 Per Racer
- Late Registration – $250 Per Racer
Race Day Experiences
Race day is an exhilarating challenge, brimming with activities that promise to test the limits of every outdoor enthusiast.
- Hiking and Trail Running – Run along dirt and paved trails and hike off trail to uncover checkpoints.
- Mountain Biking – Pedal along paved roads, gravel trails, and winding single track routes.
- Paddling – As you search for checkpoints, use canoes and solo kayaks to cross the Toccoa River.
- Dinner & Awards – At the end of the race a dinner will be provided for all participants. During the dinner awards will be distributed for each division.
As you explore the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains, bike through winding trails, and paddle across scenic waters, it's important to stay fueled and hydrated. There will be snacks and water available at checkpoints along the way. Make sure you've got all your gear packed and ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
