Dive into the ultimate fishing celebration at the 8th Annual Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventure Festival! Hosted in the picturesque Downtown Blue Ridge City Park by the Blue Ridge Mountain Trout Unlimited Chapter, this event promises a splashing good time. Rain or shine, this event will reel you in with family-friendly fun and outdoor adventure, showcasing why Blue Ridge is hailed as the Trout Capital of Georgia.
The Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival takes place on April 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Downtown Blue Ridge City Park.
Admission to the festival is $10 per person but kids 12 and under are FREE. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome!
Meet with local outfitters and fishing professionals to learn all about trout fishing and other outdoor activities. Get tips about where, when and how to catch a variety of trout and free fly-fishing instruction so you can cast a line year-round. Go beyond trout fishing with resources for kayaking and mountain biking, and excursions to area trails and destinations that will take your outdoor adventures to the next level.
Stroll through the festival, making stops at different booths to shop for a wide range of outdoor gear, clothing, and artwork celebrating the Appalachian Mountains. Check out the latest fishing tackle, fly rods and reels, footwear and so much more!
Dive into the excitement at the Activity Zone with live demos for fishing, biking and kayaking, reach new heights on the climbing wall, and reel in the fun at the trout-fishing pond. Unleash your inner explorer with activities like long-saw cross cutting, axe throwing, gem mining, and more.
Time for a snack? Make your way to the Trout Fest Food Court and Beer Garden for great food, wine and craft beers. This year the Beer Garden will feature craft brews from Grumpy Old Men Brewing Company. Then, gather around the Trout Fest Sound Stage from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. to listen to tunes from talented musicians.
Race Start: April 26, 2025 - 6:30 pm at McCaysville’s Information Center
Lace up your running shoes and race through the scenic downtowns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee in America’s only two state 5K! Run alongside the picturesque Toccoa River and cross the finish line at the McCaysville City Park. Then, head to Tooney’s for awards and live music.
