Trails like The Benton MacKaye Trail or Aska Trails are less crowded in winter, offering serene views of the landscape.

Road Condition Advisory - US Forest Service
We advise caution to all guests regarding road conditions on FS 816 (Swinging Bridge Road).
Stay updated on road closures and openings by visiting the US Forest Service Website. Announcements are conveniently located in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Use Cohutta Wilderness Trailheads to keep up with any closures in the Cohuttas.
Liquor, Wine, and Beer
You cannot purchase liquor in Fannin County. Just up the road in Copperhill, Tennessee, you can find local hand-crafted spirits for purchase at Copperhill Brewery. The closest liquor stores are in Ellijay, GA, and Murphy, NC. Both are approximately a 30-minute drive from Blue Ridge. Beer and wine can be purchased in Fannin County at most grocery and convenience stores. We also have a few specialty wine shops. Click here for more information.
