Adventure is for the Girls!
Shoot, fish, hike, shop and spa--Blue Ridge is the ultimate girlfriends' getaway.
Blue Ridge is the best for getting away with the girls. Enjoy a Girlfriend's Getaway Weekend!
Rent a luxury mountain home with lots of room, a beautiful view and a hot tub! Chill out your first night, relax and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine on the deck of your cabin. Don't miss the stars -- they are spectacular!
On the first day of your getaway, start on Main Street in downtown Blue Ridge and spend some time shopping for antiques, art and unique clothing and gifts. Be sure to get the great shopping map put out by us by clicking here: Shopping Guide. Have a ladies lunch at one of the small eateries in town, then take a short drive to Mercier Orchards, one of the south's largest orchards and a family farm for 65 years. Buy some fresh fruit, local vegetables and goodies for the cabin. Here are some links to Shopping Maps & Guides:
If you have time, continue from Mercier's to downtown McCaysville's Riverwalk Shops on the Toccoa River. There are some great new shops, and the Burra Burra's deck on the river for an afternoon beverage. Or you could walk across the bridge from Georgia into Tennessee and try out the new Copperhill Brewery. Take home some Cuban Sandwiches and rum cake from the Rum Cake Lady's Copperhill location.
Spend your second day at Serenity in the Mountains Day Spa and enjoy their special Girlfriend's Getaway package (book in advance!). They provide a luxurious and restful setting, lunch and wonderful spa treatments. Don't miss the new relaxing Salt Cave, or try a massage in one of Serenity's new treehouses!
Have dinner afterwards at one of our great Blue Ridge restaurants, like Black Sheep, Cucina Rustica, Harvest on Main, Masseria, or Chester Brunnemeyer's.
Here's an Alternative... Visit our Wineries - We have lovely wineries in Blue Ridge and the neighboring towns of the Georgia Mountains. To stay local try Bear Claw Vineyard in Blue Ridge, Mercier Orchard's Tasting Room, or Serenberry Vineyard in Morganton. There are also some fun tasting rooms in downtown Blue Ridge, like Out of the Blue and Blue Ridge Cellars.
